Iba Pure Lips Moisture Rich Lipstick in Pink Nectar: Review
If there is a thing I can never get bored of experimenting, it's the lipsticks! I love how Indian brands are relentlessly striving to come up with a melange of lippies in unique colors and consistencies, so we don't have to wait for that relative coming from abroad or pay extra shipping charges to get our favorite lip shade.
One of the brands that's gradually climbing up the radar of Indian beauties is Iba Halal Care. In this post I'll be reviewing a lipstick from their Pure Lips Moisture Rich range in the shade A85 Pink Nectar.
About Iba Halal Care:
"Iba Halal Care is India’s first halal and vegan cosmetics brand, masterminded by an Ahmedabad, Gujarat based team at Ecotrail Personal Care who is passionate about healthy lifestyle and pure and ethical products free of impurities and harsh chemicals. The idea was conceived by the two sisters- Mauli Teli and Grishma Teli. Today, Iba is India’s first and only Halal certified cosmetics brand with a wide range of over 60 products including creams and lotions, face washes, shampoos, conditioners, hair oil, color cosmetics such as lipsticks and kajal, and exotic fragrances, each one carefully developed and manufactured to assure purity, safety and efficacy."
Ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E
Packaging: Bullet Case packaging in Golden color.
Consistency: Creamy with Satin finish
Price & Net Weight: INR 195 for 4 gms of product
My Experience: Iba Pure Lips Lipstick comes in a typical bullet case, nothing too particularly striking about the packaging. But yes, it's sturdy and won't go all over the place in your purse while travelling.
They should probably change the shade name as Pink Nectar is more in brown-ish pink color with mauve undertone. I have no complaints with it, but given the name, I was expecting something a little more pink. The good thing is it's an apt MLBB shade with attractive satin finish which can be worn at college or work.
The lipstick glides on my lips really well and a single swipe or two is enough to get a full coverage. You don't need a lip balm prior to applying it as it's pretty moisturizing on its own. However, it's better to exfoliate your lips as it tends to accentuate the fine lines.
This lipstick smells a little waxy, those who have used your mom's old lipsticks would probably be familiar with it. A little strong, but nothing too bothersome I guess.
Coming to the longevity, it stays well for about 2 hours after which it leaves a nice, natural tint on my lips. It transfers, but this reduces when I dab my lips with a tissue after applying the lipstick.
